The truth is, however, most advertisers don’t fully understand the algorithm and what to expect. Let me give you an example of what I mean…
One of the most common mistakes I see is that advertisers aren’t trusting the algorithm as they should.
The Facebook ad algorithm is your best friend! The algorithm understands consumer behaviour better than you or I. Facebook knows who to show your ads to for the best results, but you have to be patient and you need to trust the algorithm to do its job.
Don’t be too restrictive in your targeting, and don’t panic if your ads don’t get off to a flying start right out the gate.
You’ve got to be realistic in your expectations. The chances are, your cost per lead will be high at the start, but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad campaign. What you typically start to see is that the algorithm will optimize performance over 4-5 days. So, allow the test to run and don’t be reactive.
Successful Instagram ads require testing, patience and having enough of a budget to be able to experiment.
