BEHIND THE SCENES: Our Costa Rica Team Building & Client Retreat

I just got back from 2 1/2 weeks in Costa Rica for a team building event and client retreat a little over a week ago — and oh man do I want to do more in-person events like it! Today, I share with you the behind-the-scenes of what we did PLUS some really cool takeaways that I got from finally meeting my team and some of our clients in-person.

I’ve actually been wanting to do an international event for some time now. Ever since I hosted a meetup in Toronto a few years ago, I knew that I wanted to do more of it — interacting with fellow entrepreneurs and people in the business who I could relate to. But the pandemic hit. And before I knew it, 2 years of remote work had passed without getting to see my team or the clients that we work with.

So, what made this trip so great?

First of all, Costa Rica is stunning. More importantly, we had a great team building event and client retreat that not only brought us closer together, but also helped us get everyone on the same page. The beauty of in-person events is that you get to accomplish goals while getting to know one another on a deeper level.
